Becky Reed

I am a financial services executive, strategist, speaker, and author focused on helping financial institutions navigate an era of unprecedented technological and societal change. For more than 25 years, I have worked at the intersection of leadership, innovation, and financial services, partnering with banks, credit unions, fintechs, technology providers, and industry leaders to explore new models for growth, collaboration, and long-term relevance.

My work is grounded in a simple belief: the future belongs to organizations that can embrace innovation without losing sight of their purpose. As technology reshapes the way people save, spend, borrow, invest, and connect, financial institutions have an extraordinary opportunity—and responsibility—to create experiences that are more accessible, more intelligent, and more human. I help leaders understand not only what is changing, but why those changes matter to the people and communities they serve.

Much of my writing and speaking explores the evolving relationship between people and financial institutions. Trust has always been the foundation of banking, but in a digital world it must be earned in new ways. The institutions that thrive will be those that combine modern technology with authentic relationships, creating financial experiences that are secure, intuitive, and deeply personal. While channels, products, and infrastructure will continue to evolve, the fundamental mission remains the same: helping people build better financial lives.

As a speaker, author, and industry advocate, I share practical perspectives on artificial intelligence, digital wallets, payments, tokenization, blockchain, stablecoins, financial infrastructure, leadership, and organizational transformation. My passion is translating emerging technologies into practical strategies that executives, boards, and teams can confidently implement today while preparing for the opportunities of tomorrow.

I am the author of Credit Unions and DeFi: A Financial Renaissance, but my work extends well beyond any single sector of the industry. I believe the future of financial services will be defined by greater connectivity, interoperability, and collaboration across the entire ecosystem. Whether serving consumers, businesses, or communities, the institutions that succeed will be those that use innovation not simply to become more efficient, but to become more valuable to the people who depend on them every day.
